I began learning piano at the age of 8 at school in the Western Australian wheatbelt town of Wyalkatchem. My mother never had the opportunity to have music lessons but she made sure that I could learn. Music touches the soul. It is a universal language shared by peoples from every culture and walk of life. It has a wonderful ability to break down barriers.
